Did you ever notice why most scammers are usually upgraded? Either L33t, Ub3r, or V3ndor?
Because those user groups are looked at as trusted members, mostly by new and inexperienced members, who end up putting all of their trust into these members because of forum stats; including reputation, B-rating, awards, Upgraded Membership, sales threads, vouches, friends, popularity, user groups, paid groups, etc. Which can ALL BE FAKED. The site owner Omniscient can literally make a new profile and give it ub3r for free, or l33t, or something else. Fake vouches, sales threads, fake B-Rating, fake transactions, fake contracts, fake awards, etc. That’s what he works on most of the time on that site. Setting up fake profiles to scam members with.
He can also make a bunch of accounts. Be active on them for a few months. Then give them all L33t and Ub3r upgrades for free. He can do that because he IS THE ADMIN. Then he uses those accounts to set up a currency exchange and scam someone for 0’s of dollars. He could scam someone for 0’s of dollars pretending that he owns an OG gamertag for Xbox. He just needs an Ub3r account (he has tons of them, he owns the accounts, they’re all his, they’re all multiple accounts of Omniscient). He may put a few awards on the account to make it look even more trusted. Then a new member comes along, probably a teenager, he thinks it’s cool, he trusts the Ub3r member because the Ub3r member has “scam reports”, no “negative popularity points”, and no “Negative B-raiting”. Not knowing that Omniscient made that account last year along with dozens and dozens other accounts upgraded to Ub3r, or waiting to upgrade to Ub3r, just so he can gain trust with and scam a new member with, or any member who decides that they want to go first to Omniscient. Then the member goes and makes a scam report. There’s thousands and thousands of scam reports on that site….
And now you can’t even make a scam report unless you use the contract feature. How convenient for Omniscient the scammer. Now he can go around on hundreds of his different accounts, in different paid groups, or L33t, or Ub3r accounts, and he can private message YOU or someone else for a deal, and persuade them to go first via Private Message WITHOUT USING CONTRACTS. He is a manipulator and he can persuade someone to go first. By showing off his Ub3r status and bunch of awards given to him by the Admin, but wait, HE IS THE ADMIN pretending to be an Ub3r member. Then the new member trusts him, and they go and send the money because they trust the Ub3r member, not knowing it’s a fake account created by Omniscient so he can scam them for 0’s.
He charges 00’s if you want a paid user group and to be the owner. People really pay that much for a userbar and a group on that forum? I’m sure that he made those groups himself, hired someone to make Graphics work, and claimed that a member paid him 00’s to get that group, when in reality, he made that group for free because he is the admin and he can do anything he wants on that forum. He has all permissions to do so. All to promote people to buy groups, or to use those special groups userbars and colorful usernames to look more legit and scam people. Just like what he does with the L33t and Ub3r accounts. It’s all fake. He also can create an account today, but set the “Join date” to joined in 2017, then he can give that account Ub3r for free, or L33t, he can make some posts and set them to whatever time he wants. No one will notice a fake thread and posts from months ago anyways. Then he can scam with that. But usually he makes accounts from before hand and ages them , then buys Ub3r and scams. Posting occasionally to make it look legit. No one will ever find out because they are not admin, but he is.
